Letter from the Chairman

Hello,

As the Dinner Chairman for the Sacramento Wild Game Feed, I would like to take the time to thank all of our past sponsors, donors and attendee’s of last year’s dinner. Without your support each year, we would not be able to put on such a great evening and raise so much money for the ducks! This year the dinner committee will be hosting our very special 22nd Anniversary dinner on September 4, 2008 at the Scottish Rite Temple in Sacramento. There will only be 400 tickets available for this year’s dinner and NO tickets will be sold at the door!

The committee is working diligently to make this dinner one to remember and talk about for years to come. We will be serving a variety of wild game supplied by Greg Cornell of Silver Sage Catering, as well as the “Pig Picking” table courtesy of Manny & Al Sol of the Orangevale Meat Shoppe. The hosted bar will be prepared by Jerry Ferdette and his great group of bartenders from the Zebra Club.

This year we will have a silent auction, live auction, general raffle and a very special evening for all the youth hunters in attendance, along with all the fun and exciting specialty games the committee will introduce this year! The Life membership table will be back for all of you that are Life members and there will be another great drawing prize for those who make a payment.

Take an opportunity to look at our Sponsor Packages. We have added many different levels of sponsorship this year plus a very special VIP sponsorship. The VIP sponsor includes limo pickup for you and your guest to and from the dinner, pre-party drinks at the Zebra Club with transportation back to the dinner hall. At the dinner you will have your own personal wait staff and desired drink at your dinner table. All this plus everything you also receive in the “Gold Sponsor” package. There is only 1 VIP table available and will only be sold this year. This special table will be auctioned off the night of the dinner to the highest bidder for the 2008 dinner, so don’t be left out on a great deal!

One of the special things introduced this year is the “Sprig Sponsor.” Individuals or businesses are asked to donate $50 towards the sponsorship, with the money raised to be used to purchase $50 savings bonds, in “your name,” to give to the youth in attendance. Last year we had 23 youth hunters in attendance at the dinner. I would like to set a goal of 30 youth sponsorships.

This will be the Twenty-Second Annual Dinner and I ask that you help make this dinner another huge success. Remember, CWA is a non-profit organization and donations and contributions are tax deductible! Please consult your tax adviser for details. Thank you for your time, generosity and support of this great organization and event. Any donation in the way of merchandise or cash would be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions regarding the dinner, please feel free to contact me at 916.919.7645, or any of my committee members listed on the committee page. You may also contact CWA representative Scott Mueller at 916.648.1406.

Thank you,
